Top of the World

Top of the WorldToday’s hotel lobby or reception is changing so fast around the world that I recommend we start creating concepts that let us welcome guests not just in a different way on the ground floor but on the top floor or rooftop. Let’s try to set up a lobby/reception or lounge area where we check-in guests in an informal setting with some character.![]() |
The idea is to create a social and cultural gathering place that combines all aspects: lobby lounge, food & beverage areas, and entertainment & recreational elements such as poolside specialty restaurants. It’s a matter of changing our approach and attitude and just being a little creative as we set the stage for a total experience. Many hotels have bars in the lobby downstairs and on the rooftop upstairs – why not join them and create a bigger impact? At the end of the day, the “lobby” is the first impression our guests receive, so let’s make it as exciting as we can.![]() http://www.acehotel.com/newyork/ shopping http://ehotelier.com/hospitality-news/item.php?id=A21190_0_11_0_M |
